Our Beginnings

Fredrick G. “Buddy” Hilbish served as a Navy officer in the Southwest Pacific Theater in World War II. After returning from over-seas, Hilbish earned his degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Virginia, as well as graduating from Harvard Business School. He then went on to work at a Ford dealership in Trenton, New Jersey with his sights set on owning his own dealership before he turned 30. When Yoos Motor Company went up for sale in 1954, Mr. Hilbish moved to Kannapolis, NC and achieved his goal a few months prior to his 30th birthday.

Since then, Hilbish Ford has taken pride in being more than just a dealership; we are your trusted automotive partners, dedicated to providing an exceptional and transparent car-buying and servicing experience.
